Dance for Wellbeing in Primary Schools - CPD

Workshop

Event Description

Discover creative and practical dance ideas to support your class and promote positive wellbeing.

In this CPD, Louise Jaggard, Artistic Director of JumpStart into Primary School Dance, will explore using dance as a tool to boost mental health in the classroom by developing bodily awareness and self-expression.

This session will explore dance ideas for breathing and relaxation, creativity and expressiveness, and movements that inspire joy and laughter, through a range of readily usable and adaptable ideas and activities which you can take back to your classroom.

No previous experience of dance is necessary. This CPD is suitable for all primary school teachers from EYFS through to Year 6.

This event has a relaxed start time and will welcome arrivals from 3.45pm to begin the CPD at 4pm.

As this is a practical session, please wear clothing that will be comfortable for you to move in. Drinking water is available on site and food can be eaten in the space if needed.
