Space to Read
Event Description
Working in partnership with Leicester Libraries and the National Space Centre we are pleased to announce this year's children's summit which is a whole day of cross curricular creative learning. Open to ten schools, and ten children from each school, this will be a day of exploring stories and books through music, performance and visual arts, introducing the summer reading challenge theme 'Space' for 2019.
What kind of space do we need to create to read? In what ways can we inspire a love of reading - to pick up a book and enter into the infinite world of possibilities – to imagine the unimaginable and journey to far off places.
Space to Read summit is a daylong event where we invite artists, young people and their teachers to consider the reasons to read and nurture a love of reading, of igniting curiosity in stories that invite us to journey to far off galaxy's.
