Sock it to the Moon!: Puppetry and green-screen filming workshop

Activity Description

Make your own sock puppet alien before taking it to the moon using green screen technology

In this primary school workshop, children can get creative making sock puppet aliens and recycled junk robots. Acted out against a green screen, they will then create moon and space stories as their characters explore digital scenes from MBD's space themed projection show, The Overview Effect.

Participants will be shown and taught the techniques, whilst also creating the scripts and using their creative skills to make the characters for their stories.

Green-screen filming offers endless worlds and backgrounds for any film and will allow each class to make their own short film to share with friends and family.
